La Flèche Wallonne Femmes 2026: Route
Starting and finishing in Huy on the River Meuse, the race begins with a large loop, taking the riders over the Côte de Bohissau, the Côte de Courrière and the Côte de Durnal. After 86 kilometres, they enter the finishing circuit, which is to be completed one and a half times.
The local circuit is 37.2 kilometres long and includes three climbs: the Côte d’Ereffe, the Côte de Cherave and the Mur de Huy. All three come in the second half of the circuit, which means the riders tackle them twice.
The Côte d’Ereffe is a 2.1-kilometre climb at 5%, steep at the start before easing off significantly. A rolling descent then leads to the foot of the Cherave. This climb also starts quite steep before becoming easier towards the top. On average, the Cherave rises 1.3 kilometres at 8.1%.
The riders descend towards the Meuse before taking on the local Wall after 2-kilometre flat section through Huy. The climb is 1.3 kilometres long with an average gradient of 9.6%. The first 400 metres and the final 100 metres are not excessively steep, but in between the gradient rarely drops below 10%.
Anna van der Breggen, the dominant force on the Mur de Huy between 2015 and 2021, is again back on the start line this year. Other former winners at the start include Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (2014), Demi Vollering (2023), Kasia Niewiadoma (2024) and Puck Pieterse (2025).
